The FCA brings together nearly 180 cooperative and affiliated retail groups and brands. This economic and entrepreneurial model enables independent business owners to pool resources and tools within a group governed by clear principles: independence, shared ownership, and democratic governance. Their objective? To harness the strength of the collective in order to benefit from common tools and services, while remaining fully in control of their businesses and their future.
The Federation’s mission is to promote, strengthen, and enhance the visibility of this model by supporting member groups and their affiliates through high-level services, particularly in legal matters. It also serves as a key interlocutor for public authorities on issues affecting the retail sector and fosters a dynamic ecosystem that benefits independent retailers.
Today, cooperative and affiliated retail represents 41,000 independent entrepreneurs, 47,000 points of sale, and 670,000 jobs, generating annual revenues of €250 billion.
